Welcome, Allison Hincks

Please join us in welcoming Allison Hincks to the Healthy Acadia team! 

Allison joins us as a recovery coach through our Maine Recovery Core internship program. Recovery Core Interns offer direct peer support to improve recovery success among individuals facing substance use disorders. As a CCAR-certified Recovery Coach, she provides recovery coaching and recovery resource navigation in Kennebec County through Maine Re-EntryNetwork (MERN).

Allison, what prompted you to join the Healthy Acadia team?

The desire to help others and contribute to the community.

What most inspires you about Healthy Acadia's work? 

The purpose of the work.

What most inspires you on a personal level?

My desired to help others and my extra drive after experiencing my own challenges.

What is your favorite thing to do, or place to be, in Maine, and why?

Allison loves to be by any body of water, and enjoys skiing, speed walking/running camping, hiking and spending time with her pets.

Allison is a graduate of Schenck High School (East Millinocket) and studied Behavioral Health at University of Maine (Farmington and Orono). She is a certified Education Technician (III) and is trained and/or certified in TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention), safety Care, CARE (Child and Adolescent Risk Evaluation), NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention), CPR, First Aid, SCERTS (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Transactional Support), and UKERU (Understanding, Knowledge, Empathy, Responsiveness, Unyielding commitment). Allison currently resides in Waterville.
