New Community Garden Seeks Volunteers

Join the Healthy Acadia team and active community members in nurturing the development of the new Community Garden in Machias. The Downeast Restorative Harvest (DERH) is an innovative Community Garden program engaging members of the recovery community, agriculture educators, and other community members in growing food for the Washington County Jail's kitchen and for donation to food assistance programs within our community. Learn more about the program at www.healthyacadia.org/hffa-derh.  The 2024 garden season will be the Community Garden's first season of food production.

Healthy Acadia and partner organizations extend a warm invitation to all interested community members to participate in Community Garden Days, which will take place weekly on Tuesdays and every third Saturday of the month from 9-11 a.m., starting on Saturday, April 20, 2024, and running through October.
