Tobacco-Free
Parks & Playgrounds
Municipalities,
schools, and organizations around the state have in recent
years been enacting tobacco-free park and playground policies.
Tobacco-free parks, playgrounds, and public spaces help protect
children and other community members from exposure to secondhand
smoke in the places where they play and recreate.
Healthy Acadia
offers resources and support to local municipalities interested
in enacting tobacco-free policies. Please contact Doug Michael
for more information, doug@healthyacadia.org or 288-5331.
